Ellie | Senior Portrait Session

Aahhh! I can't believe it's been over a month since my last blog post :/ Where is the time going?
This is my favorite season of the year, and I usually spend more time outside with my camera than I have this year.  But, I did get a chance to do a senior portrait session with Ellie up at Hartwood Acres, and very much enjoyed the fall colors while we were shooting.

I had such a blast doing Ellie's photos!  I knew it was going to be fun when she showed up with her dog, her ballet outfit and her sister and a friend.  Five outfits and several hours later, we had a few hundred beautiful photos.  It's been a challenge going through them and choosing the best to edit...Ellie's sweet spirit and photogenic personality made my job a complete joy.

Blessings to you as you finish your last year of school Ellie, and look forward to
where God leads you in the future!

Karin | Portrait Session

Karin is a beautiful woman inside and out.
She's one of those people that you can't help but love as soon as you meet them.
And she has always been an example to me of someone that never loses faith in God despite difficult circumstances...never focused on herself, but is always interested in how I'm doing, as well as my family and mutual friends.

This portrait session is one that we've been trying to schedule for a long time...almost a year I think...and I'm so glad it finally happened.  It was a gorgeous day that felt a bit like fall (my favorite season!), and I had a blast with Karin and her dad, who graciously helped us out with the session.

Doesn't she have a gorgeous smile??

Harvey was keeping an eye on us...

Thank you for the opportunity to do your photos Karin! And thank you for letting the light of Jesus shine through your eyes and smile to touch everyone around you...you're a blessing and encouragement to me!

{Baby William}

When I was 4 years old, I had a best friend named Jessica.
She lived right across the street from me, and we spent most of our free time together.
We rode bikes, went sled riding, set up house in her little playhouse (I thought she was the luckiest girl on the street to have such a fun place to play), explored the woods down over the hill, ran a lemonade stand (on our dead-end street...never did too well, but had fun all the same)...even argued like real sisters.

We have videos of she and I "helping" my brother Andrew open his presents on his 2nd birthday...he was such a good sport and was usually happy to put up with our girl play as long as he could be a part of it, too (he loved being the baby when we played "house").

At that age, I couldn't imagine ever not being close to Jessica, but as the years passed, it happened.
My family moved away when Jessica and I were 10...not too far away, but even then, I knew our friendship would never be the same.  And we did gradually lose touch with each other as we pursued different things...

Then, about a year ago, we found each other on facebook, and started reconnecting a bit.  I knew that she had gotten married several years ago, and was excited to learn that she was expecting a baby.
Jessica and her husband welcomed their son, William, into their little family at the beginning of July, and I had the priviledge of doing his newborn photos.  It was so good to see Jessica again, and catch up on what's been happening in each other's lives.  And they have the cutest little baby. :)

Lynsi & Jonathan

I once again had the priviledge of second shooting a wedding with Mark Ort at the beginning of August....Lynsi and Jonathan are such a friendly, relaxed couple, and I so enjoyed being involved in their wedding day.

Thank you for letting me be part of your day Lynsi and Jonathan!
Many blessings on your life together.
